SIM 7.3 not discovering EVAx400
Folks,
A brand new SIM install is failing to collect data from SMI-S on a command view box (10.3).
The discovery procedure shows this in the log:
Normal: This system does not have the common cluster MIBs support.
* Checking for WBEM protocol support on system...
Normal: This system has WBEM protocol support.
Normal: This system has at least one SMI-S CIMOM installed to serve as the
storage proxy to discover storage systems.
Normal: This system has a server CIMOM installed.
* Running WBEM rules based identification...
Normal: Got the system information from the WBEM / WMI providers and it has
a valid WBEM credential.
* Running Virtual Machine (VM) Host (non HP Integrity VM Host)
Identification...
Normal: The system is not a VM Host (non HP Integrity VM Host), or WBEM
credentials may not be specified so skipping VM Identification.
* Running Storage identification...
* This system has some storage related information and additional
storage systems may be added.
* This system has some storage related information and additional
storage systems may be added.
* This system has some storage related information and additional
storage systems may be added.
* This system has some storage related information and additional
storage systems may be added.
but the system properties afterwards don't show any EVA details and the EVAs themselves don't appear in SIM.
The CVEVA box is listening on ports 5988/5989 but WBEMCAP and WBEMDISCO fail with this:
WbemCap 01.02.01
------------------
Gui: Gui starting
Gui: Creating frame...
HOST = comet
PORT = 5989
NAMESP = interop
USER = Administrator
PASSWD = *****
Exception connecting: ID=CIM_ERR_FAILED; Msg=CIM_ERR_FAILED: index out of bounds
Exception connecting: ID=CIM_ERR_FAILED; Msg=Connection reset
I've bounced the box in question, CV itself is running fine.
I have another server which used to be a SIM & CV box and its WMI mapper is listening on port 60000 and that works as it should.
Cheers
Adrian
