SIM Event Burst

I have Systems Insight Manager 5.1 and I have a question about traps coming in from a managed node. I received about 40,000 events within 20 minutes, for a failing disk array. Is there any message correlation for duplicate message.

No, if a device is so intent on sending it messages, HP SIM doesn't care. This shouldn't be happening, and the best thing is to figure out what is making it happen.

Thanks for the help I didn't think there was any ECS in SIM but I wanted to make sure. I have set up event collections for events older than 2 days, and then a scheduled task to delete that collection anytime new events are reported.
