SIM: Linux or Windows


What's the main difference between the linux and the windows version of SIM? Any help much appreciated.

As for me, the main difference and why i'm using Windows version, is that Linux version of SIM do not support Remote Support Pack (automatic incidents reporting and opening CASEs at HP, and more) and Version Control Repository Manager (updating software/drivers/firmware on windows and linux servers)

Well if i remember well HP SIM was built for Windows(PROLIANT) at the beginnning and has you already know there tool that are not supported because it has not cath up to it yet.

If i was you i go WINDOWS,why there option that you will not have and HP SIM is some times problematic,so go with the one that if better supported is Windows,beeing longer on the market then with linux,it like WMware only supported since version 5.2
