SIM agents v8.2 for ESX 3.5 on BL680 G5
I just installed these newer agents for the first time and the installation went fine. We're testing ESX 3.5 U4 on BL680's using these newer agents and so far so good.
However, my SIM server is not showing the details of the server (System Type comes back as 'Unknown'). All the management protocols look good, etc... and are configured exactly the same as my other ESX servers (3.0.2 with older agents).
The hardware status shows up fine in SIM, just not the details about the server, such as operating system make/model, etc.
Not sure what I'm missing. Which/what 'conf' file should I double check and/or how should I troubleshoot what would seem to be a comms issue between SIM/CMS and the ESX server? Thanks.

Sounds like SNMP as that should usually be enough to get the details.
What version of HPSIM? just wondering if the version is too new to be correctly identified

Re: SIM agents v8.2 for ESX 3.5 on BL680 G5
Somehow, someway (call it user error) my r/w community settings in my answer file were not valid. I edited the answer file again, and reran the installation script, and all's well now.
