SIM and SMH trust

I have 20 Server in my SIM, but now I try to add a new one (not in the Domain).
I import the Cert from the SIM-Server, but when I try to identify System the log always shows 'SMH trust status is false.'.
On the other Side the VCA shows a status, but no link!
The new server is able to resolve the name of the SIM-Server.
Somebody a hint ?

Re: SIM and SMH trust

Do you try going SMH and in the section Setting>SEcurite>Trust Mode>Select this >>Secure Trust Modes:

And then:
settings -> System Management Homepage -> Security ->Trusted Management Servers
ADD CERTIFICATE FROM SERVER

This should work for a server that is in workgroup.

From hp sim to the server it will work!

Re: SIM and SMH trust

if that server is protected by a firewall, you need to open up the ports 2301 & 2381.

Re: SIM and SMH trust

Today I setup another SIM and try to add this server, and there are no problems!

So I think it could be a DB-Problem, is that possible?

how can I check DB consistense of SIM?
