SIM and eDirectory Authentication
Hi All,
Can you use eDir accounts and groups to authorize sign-in to SIM? I know you can set eDir objects for iLO access, but I need to know if your eDir credentials can be used at the initial SIM sign-in page.
How can you do this? Do you enter your FQDN in the user field? What about in the Domain field?

Re: SIM and eDirectory Authentication
So in 10 days, no-one has responded. Am I to assume that nobody uses eDir for authentication with SIM? I find that difficult to believe...
The iLO Management Processor is LDAP aware, so am I wrong to assume that SIM authentication is also LDAP aware??

Re: SIM and eDirectory Authentication
Unfortunately authorization is done exclusively with operating system calls. The LDAP configuration is for system discovery, not user authentication. I've asked for some documentation changes to make this clearer.
Cheers, mate. Oh, and Aug 19 - Aug 12 = 7 days. ;)

I know... can't count - one of my many faults ;-)
