SIM discovery method

Hi everyone my environment is a SIM C.06.01.00.00 on a Windows 2003 Server i'm triyng to discovery a srv, that is on an other lan i can't ping SIM > Server becous the protocol is blocked, but all other protocol are open when i try to discover the server obviously SIM respond: Critical: The managed system is not reachable. is possible to do anything to hook this server or ping it is a primary condition ?

You don't have to use ping (ICMP) you can use TCP:
