SIM for one Server?
I am looking for a way to get alerted via email on hardware failures.. I have a single ML350 G5 that I want to monitor.. installing SIM on itself to monitor itself seems overkill.. is there another option?

Re: SIM for one Server?
Hi,
some more information about the system would be helpful...
To give you a hint: If the OS is a Windows and the HP Agents are installed it is quiet easy:
Start|All Programs|HP Management Agents|Event Notifier Config
You just need a reachable and configured smtp server and will get alerted about all desired events.
kind regards
Markus

Re: SIM for one Server?
Agreed, this is exactly why the Event Notifier was built into the agents. Between it and the System Management Homepage (https://servername:2381), that should give you everything you need to manage up to a few servers.
