I'm trying to made SIM aware of a MCSG Cluster but currently SIM doesn't see anything. Wich protocol is used by SIM to detect the cluster ? SNMP is activated on both nodes.
Thanks
Eric

Re: SIM <-> Cluster MCSG
At each node the cluster subagent needs to be activated. Start --> Control Panel --> HP Management Agents

Solution
Hi
Are you talking about a linux serviceguard cluster or HP UX ? or MSCS cluster (microsoft) ?
If MSCS : then as david mentionned it, you need to activate agents in the control panel / hp agents.
If MCSG / Linux : Unfortunately I think it is not supported yet.(either HP SIM 5.0 or 5.1)
If MCSG / HP UX, then it should be discovered and identify corectly by HP SIM.
Regards
fred

Re: SIM <-> Cluster MCSG
I'm takin about a MC Service Guard Cluster (linux) not a Microsoft Cluster Service...
I saw
"Running HP Service Guard Identification.
The system is not part of HP Service Guard cluster"
when i try to identified a note that let me think there is a way to go ahead but you say it's not still supported
thanks.
