SIM monitor a service?
Can I configure SIM to monitor if a service has been stopped on a server? If so, can I have it restart it?

SIm can monitor a service through the management agents, process monitor tab but as far as I know will not restart a stopped one.

You can configure windows services to restart directly if that's what you want. Options are under the Recovery Tab.
