SIM5.2 database migration

We have installed HP-Sim5.2 with local DB (MSDE). So i would like to migrate the local DB to an existing SQL Server.
I have copied the database to the sql server and changed the odbc data source (system dsn)settings to the new sql server but HP-SIM still contacts only the local DB. What can i do?

SIM 5 no longer uses ODBC for database access. You must edit the database.props configuration file to point SIM to a different database server.

look for the following entries

hp.Database.hostName=
hp.Database.instance=
