SMH 2.1.5.146

I have just upgraded my 50+ servers to SMH 2.1.5.146 from 2.1.3.132 all of them have worked apart from two Windows 2003 server machines, which now will not display the SMH at all.
I am not able to reboot these 2 servers at will, so any ideas what I can do?

Steve, if you could work with just the services can you restart the SMH service on them with any results? Also maybe trying restarting all the HP services just to get them reset properly.

I'd definitly get your next maintenance window ready for a reboot of them if you get the chance too.

Perhaps checking the SMH logs at C:\hp\hpsmh\logs is the location I think. Anything useful or descriptive in there?

Thanks for taking the time to answer my posts Numy, for this one after looking at various logs and seeing nothing after the time I ran the update, I have come to the conclusion is just failed to complete the install of SMH on these two servers, so now I need to get hold of the exe for the SMH update, so I can run it direct on the box and hopefully fix the problem. Now to spend 1/2 a day surfing the HP site ;-)

OK, ran the local install locally on the machines, used the repair option, and now both are working again.

Ty Numy for pointing me at the logs, which got me to the failed installtion conclusion.
