SMH
I have a green ticked disk against:
Overall System Health
Version Control Agent
Version Control Repository
but "no items" under the Component Status Window
Server is a Proliant ML350 g3
O/S is Windows Server 2003 SP2
Have just reinstalled O/S using SmartStart 8.25 and updated all using HP SUM
Bit unsure if I have SNMP correctly configured, can anyone give me some advice?

Re: SMH
There were some problems with the VCA that would cause it to hang and the SMH to timeout.
SNMP needs to allow access from the localhost and from the HPSIM Server. You also need a RO community name that is also configured in HPSIM.
You should consider updating to PSP 8.60 if you're not on that.

would the newer PSP's work? If a higher PSP is installed, are they supported?

Re: SMH
In case it reveals a hole in my setup, I ran the SIM 6.2 Configure and Repair Agents option and the Log produced follows this message. I feel that my set up of SNMP may be the broken link!
