SMI-S installation for Brocade/EVA SAN pointing to SIM 5.0
Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone had a good cookbook out there on how to set up SMI-S to allow SIM to monitor the storage frame and fabric? The ones on the main HP website leave much to the imagination. Or atleast can someone point me in the right direction on where to start?
Thanks
Tom

Re: SMI-S installation for Brocade/EVA SAN pointing to SIM 5.0
You can try these,
http://h18013.www1.hp.com/products/servers/management/hpsim/smi-s-providers.html
Follow the links for the B-series switches.
The install guide from hp will point you to http://www.brocade.com/support/SMIAGENT.jsp where you will find the brocade install guide.
Wish I could help you more but I just started reading up on it.

Re: SMI-S installation for Brocade/EVA SAN pointing to SIM 5.0
from my experience, SMS-S for EVA works fine for giving a nice usage chart. for brocade i prefere SNMP with OSEM.
If you want a real Storage Monitoring Solution you have to buy Storage Essentials which is integrated in SIM.
