SP4 - identify server task breaks MP association

After installing SP4 i have noticed a strange behaviour.

Running identify task on MP repairs association to server - and running identify task on server breaks it again?

I am curious as to what type of servers see this issue, and what OS are they running?

In my case it is DL360 G1/2/3 and BL20p G2/3.

OS is Windows Server 2000/2003, latest service pack, PSP and BIOS.

I too am running into the same problems. Just recently upgraded to SP4, running similar servers as mentioned above.

Periodically, servers that have been identified lose all of their information. If I manually reidentify them, they come back, at least for a while.

Ole, since it has to do with the MP association can you tell me what version of firmware the iLO on those systems is running? Just trying to see if it can be narrowed down some - there have been some issues in the past with slow response from iLO's that may cause a timeout condition.

iLOs are 1.82.

Ole, I've seen the problem with our RILOE (originals not II). The work-around I came up with was to set up a daily identify job on the MPs affected running after the daily identify server job. Not a fix, but this, so far, seems to re-associate the affected boards in our environment. Don't know if will help in yours.

If you are seeing this issue I would encourage you to open a support case with HP. There apparrently is something specific to your configuration or setup that is causing this issue that needs to be identified. Thanks,
