Send SNMP traps by mail (without SIM)

This is not directly about HP SIM but about configuring HP Agents / SNMP in general. Some of my UNIX colleagues wondering about mails from a specific server. Subject of the mails is just "HP Insight Management Agents Trap Alarm [server hostname]", Content e. g. "Trap-ID=3040

Accelerator Board Battery status change, slot number: 0.
Battery failed. Status: Failed.."

So this is not a mail send from a central management server but from the monitored server itself. They don't know anymore how this was once configured and so my question is: How to configure agents to send snmp traps directly by e-mail to a specific agent?

In addition: It is about an older UNIX system, more precisely SLES 8.0. Maybe somebody can help me out. Thanks!

Re: Send SNMP traps by mail (without SIM)

Thanks! Obviously "trapemail" is responsible for sending those mails... But where is the destination email adress or email relay host configured? I'm Windows admin and not quite familiar with general UNIX issues but our UNIX admins aren't with HP management tools ;-). Thanks for any further support!
