Server Up Time Query

Hi

I have run a report against a list of servers that i needed to see what the up time currently is. After the report ran it came back with no values under the up time query column. Any thoughts / ideas?

Thanks

Re: Server Up Time Query

Manesh,
The servers that you need uptime information for, are they actual physical systems or virtual machines? Are they all MS based systems? How many systems and subnets are you querying? I ask all of this because I have seen where system uptime will not report, the root cause has not been found. Is WMI installed on the Sim server and managed systems?

Re: Server Up Time Query

Hi Kim

The servers are either Windows 2000 or Windows 2003 and no virtual machines. They are on the same subnet and about 25 in total. Not sure if WMI is installed on the SIM server or the managed systems.

Thanks

Re: Server Up Time Query

We have the same issue and WMI is installed on the servers.

Is there no work around for this problem?

Re: Server Up Time Query

There is a field called 'uptime' in the database because HP-UX collects and tracks that item. There is no equivalent measure in the Windows and Linux agents, so no data in the field.
