Server details blank after discovery

Hi,

I have just installed a new server, and ensured all HP software is up to date using Version Control Agent. I have gone to Insight Manger and run the discovery and the system is found, however not all the details are populated, i.e. HS is showing a green tick, but MP, SW, PF are all blank, and under system type it says unknown. Also Product Name and OS Name are blank. All the other servers I have have this info filled in.

What am i missing? Sorry I'm an Insight Manager newbie...

Thanks

If you are using HP SIM 5.2, use the 'Manage Communications' feature to advise on how to correct any protocol/authorization issues...

Re: Server details blank after discovery

Unknown means it's found a protocol but not been able to use it. Typically that's snmp.
Check under snmp allowed hosts the community name is correct and that you have the HPSIM Server and Localhost as allowed hosts.

While you're there check the HPSIM Server is in the Trap destination as well.
