Software update error: An unexpected status of 0 was returned
Hi,
I have a strange problem:
When doing a bulk software update, the task does not complete.
The reason for this is that some server's VCA posts "InstallComplete" differently than others. This SIM server is located on DMZ so there are a lot of FW rules in action. I don't have the same problem when doing the same task on a SIM server that is located on a net w/o FW rules.
The working string goes like this:
"The Version Control Agent POSTed a InstallComplete category event with severity code 1 to URL http://DMZ-SIMserver:280/cpqevent."
The failing string is:
"The Version Control Agent POSTed a InstallComplete category event with severity code 1 to URL http://DMZ-SIMserver. An unexpected status of 0 was returned."
See the difference? Why does some VCAs post an uncomplete stripped string (w/o the ":280/cpqevent")? There is an opening in place for port 280 and that must be the reason that those correct posts go through.
But the big question is why the strings are different on different servers?
They have the same VCA version, even the same PSP.
