Steps to install ESX SIM agent for ESX 3.01

Hi,

can somebody please advise me in how to install the HP Insight Manager Agents onto an ESX Server version 3+.

I then want to get this to be monitered using SIM.

But is it not different when installing it on ESX 3.0 and managing from HP SIM 5.x?

No the method and the install scripts for the agents are the same.

You just need to make sure you have the latest version of the Agents - 7.70.
When unpacked you might have a multiple directories under the hpmgmt directory corresponding to the different versions.
Drill down to the latest.
