Storage Question in ESXi and HP Reporting
Am I under the correct impressions that ESXi 4.1 and the API's that HP plug into will not report on Storage?
I have pulled a drive out of our ESXi server and not events were ever received.

Re: Storage Question in ESXi and HP Reporting
As far as I remember it should work.
But it is not easy to setup the test.
Some hints:
If you want to see the events inside HP SIM you need to subscribe the wbem indications. Options-> events -> subscribe wbem indication.
If you have insight remote support advance (current release), WEBES should do the work for you. But you need to be sure that your DNS name resolution is correct and the system was recognized as ESXi inside WEBES. You can verify the settings inside the SEA user interface.

Re: Storage Question in ESXi and HP Reporting
I just checked our ESXi systems and can see the status of the storage. See attached picture.
Could it be that you are using IRSS and not SIM together with IRSA.
