Suppressing Similar Alerts

I have a task set up to send an email to the memeber of my department whenever a "Critical" alert is recieved by the Insight Manager. The problem we are encountering is that in a lot of cases one issue may trigger several critical alerts. Is there any feature to suppress multiple alerts for simialr issues on the same server??
