System Management Homepage Issue

I'm running HP System Insight Manager version 5 and have a problem viewing the System Management homepage on a certain server.

It times out during loading and I get an error which results in the homepage being incomplete. Where other servers have all the hardware products displayed in their fancy "green" or "amber" status boxes, this particular server displays:

Overall System Status - no failed/degraded items.

I tried to deploy the latest PSP from my repository server which completed successfully but it made no change to the above issue.

The homepage is also failing to identify the type of server (top right corner of screen) and the task tab along the top next to settings and logs tabs respectively.

If someone had any solutions it would be greatly appreciated.

Re: System Management Homepage Issue

There's an issue with the 7.51 Agents, a reboot fixes it for a while.
You can deploy the agents using the setup.exe that comes with the PSP. Run that and it starts the Remote Deployment Console. You can install the PSP and even configure the agents with this.

Re: System Management Homepage Issue

Cheers guys.

I had a look at the SNMP security setting of a server that displays the correct information and applied these to the new server. This solved the problem.

I also have a few other servers that are short on agents and need the SNMP settings changed so I now know what to do.

Thanks again
