System type - Unmanaged
Hello.
I'm using Systems Insight Manager 5.0 with SP2 - Windows. SIM has problems to identify the system type. Most of my servers aren't recognized like servers... SIM identify them like Unmanaged... Why? Someone can help me?
Thanks,
AV

Re: System type - Unmanaged
Unmanaged means that HP SIM was unsuccessful in communicating via a management protocol with the device. Since you are using Windows, my best guess is that if it's Server 2003 that you didn't change the defaults on the SNMP service to include the HP SIM server as one to allow communications with. You can use HP SIM's Configure or Repair Agents function to correct this.
