Uable to correctly compile vSphere MIBs

Hi all,

We are running HP SIM 5.3 and vSphere.
In order to monitor our virtual environment we configured the vCenter to send traps to the HP SIM server. Using sniffer it shows that the traps are arriving.
The HP SIM shows nothing in the events screen. It must be relates to the fact that we cannot compile the VMWARE-VC-EVENT-MIB.mib correctly.
The MIBs were downloaded from http://communities.vmware.com/community/developer/managementapi (SNMP MIB modules).
Using the "Compiling and customizing SNMP MIBs with HP SIM" manual we are able to compile the MIB files, however the mxmib command complains about errors:

IMPORTING CFG VMWARE-VC-EVENT-MIB.cfg
Error reading CFG: MIB node has no parent Line: 25.
AN ERROR OCCURRED EXECUTING THE COMMAND

Please help!

Re: Uable to correctly compile vSphere MIBs

Download the latest MIB pack for SIM, these MIB's are included.

Thanks, I totally forgot about the updated MIB pack.
I'll try this and update later.

Re: Uable to correctly compile vSphere MIBs

I installed the updated MIBs pack.
Now I am able to receive traps, but there are only 2 available.
I opened a support request with vmware to find better ways to monitor datastore availability and free space.
Thanks,
Leonid
