Unable to login to SIM
Hi,
I'm looking for assistance with SIM (v 5.0).
Initially, when launching the application, I would receive a dialogue box saying Checking HTTP server status. SIM would not launch.
When reviewing the EV logs on the server, the following error was present:
com.hp.mx.database.DbVerificationException: Error loading database verification handler 'com.hp.mx.database.MsSqlVerificationHandler'
com.hp.mx.database.DbVerificationException: Error accessing database
From what I've read thus far, it's related to credentials, typically a change in the account.
I've modified the database.props to use the appropriate domain account, made this account the SIM database owner, and set the HP services on the SIM server to run under this account's context. I've reset the PW with the util mxpassword -m -x MxDBUserPassword="newpassword". The account has domain admin privileges.
It still won't launch. Is this worthwhile troubleshooting further or should I just reinstall?
Thanks.

Re: Unable to login to SIM
If this is new, then you might want to just reinstall. Probably faster.
Install using the account you want to retain for HPSIM to use, changing the account just causes issues.
And the other products that install with HPSIm all tend to use the account as well.

Re: Unable to login to SIM
I'm reinstalling the product.
