Unable to see the events in SIM
When I tried to test the event handling function in SIM, by flapping a nic. I am unable to see the events in the SIM. However, when I used the snmputil.exe trap to see if the events are received by the SIM, Server was able to get that information. But doesn't reflect in the event trap.
C:\Users\Administrator\Desktop>Snmputil.exe trap
snmputil: listening for traps...

1. I tried to clear the xml file in the <install Dir>/traps/*.xml -> still the problem remains.

Re: Unable to see the events in SIM
What versions of the following are you using:
- OS
- SIM
- Insight Management Agents
Is an event being raised in the evtn log when you flap the Nic? If so, then the agents look good. Check there are no disabled monitoring modules and the Network agents service is started. Also, run a network sniff to see if the trap is being sent.

Re: Unable to see the events in SIM
2. SIM - > 7.2 Windows Ed
3. PSP 9.1
Yes I see the an event raised , when I bring up the NIC. The event doesn't come when the NIC is taken down. The trap reaches the SIM server. But not displayed in the browser. I have set the SIM to accept traps from any where.
