Unable to upload a new SPP to VCRM

Hi all,

I have downloaded a new spp_2014.06.0 but I'm unable to upload it to VCRM.

I already have:

spp_2013.02.0B

spp_2013.09.0B

spp_2014.02.0B

in my VCRM and they work just fine.

I was never able to use the 'upload a support pack' feature.

I always unpacked the .iso to a folder a dump it into 'Respository' folder, then I went into SMH and did 'rescan repository & rebuild catalog'.

With the newest SPP it's not that easy.

Is anyone experiencing this too? Someone knows a solution to this?

My setup:

HP SIM 7.3.0

HP VCRM 7.3.4.0

HP SMH 7.3.3

Can anyone help please?

Regards,
Marek

Hello Marek,

Did you unpack the files in one directory?
If you did create a seperate directory for every SPP and retry. This way you keep a good overview wich file is for what SPP.

Re: Unable to upload a new SPP to VCRM

Hi Andrew,

I have always unpacked isos to separate folders to keep it clean e.g.: "spp_2014.02.0B"

I did the same with the newest one and dumped it into 'Repository' folder and it didn't work.

Saying that, now I have moved out all SPPs folders out of 'repository' folder, then rescan the repository.

That cleared out all. I have renamed all the SPP folders (as I had different naming before) and moved them back into 'repository' folder then rescan again.

That did the trick. I don't know I haven't tried it earlier.

All SPPs are well recognized now in Repository of VCRM.

Anyway, thank you for your reply, as it somewhat led me to rename those folders :)

Re: Unable to upload a new SPP to VCRM

Sure no problem, i sometimes switch the repository to an empty directory and switch back and then the catalog rebuilds.

Stranger things have happend...

Re: Unable to upload a new SPP to VCRM

I use NET USE with path to my fileserver where SPP ISO extracted. Then i use F12 and set IE10 Compatibility Mode, then point to swpackages directory on my network disk. Then i can upload SPP content to VCRM.
