Updating the HP System management software ?

Hi All,

Does HP SIM can updates the whole domain of HP management software like the following:

1. HP SMH
2. HP ACU
3. etc...

I wonder how does one do it without rebooting the whole server in the domain ?

You can certainly deploy just the SMH or ACU to a number of servers.
One way I've done it in the past is to create a new Baseline of just the components I want to deploy and then use the deploy PSP mechanism to do that.
If you configure the SMH before you deploy it then you can add the HPSIM server certificate etc.

Note that there may be different versions depending on the OS version.
Also you don't want to get too carried away with just deploying individual components, the PSPs are tested bundles. If you deploy a PSP then it will need a reboot, it's updating drivers etc.

Rob many thanks for your explanation so in this case if I deploy the PSP through HP-SIM it will reboot all of my server automatically or will it has to be rebooted manually ?
