Re: Upgrade HP SIM 5 SP4 > SP5 gives account lockout.

Hi Mikael,

You have said that HP SIM 5 SP4 works fine without any lockout issues in your first posting. Right?
("I installed HP SIM 5 SP4 in may this year, no problem with account lockout.")

Do you have the same lockout issues with PMP 4.1, 4.1.1 and 4.2 with HP SIM 5 SP4 also?
("If i install PMP 4.0 from HP SIM SP4, my lockout problems disapper.")

Correct me if I am wrong.

Re: Upgrade HP SIM 5 SP4 > SP5 gives account lockout.

Hi rmn

Then I have install HP SIM 5.0 SP4 with a lockout policy i haveno problems with locked account.

After that I upgraded to HP SIM 5.0 SP5 and my lockout started.
If I stop the service PMP my lockouts stops.
After installation of PMP 4.1.1 and 4.2 acoount still locks if the PMP service is running.

I have NOT run HP SIM 5.0 SP4 with PMP 4.1.1 and 4.2

I'm now running HP SIM 5.0 SP5 with PMP (4.0) from HP SIM 5.0 SP4 and it works fine without account locks.

Re: Upgrade HP SIM 5 SP4 > SP5 gives account lockout.

Hi Mikael,

Just a few questions here:

1. Are you able to login to the HP System Management Homepage with local administrative credentials?

2. Any changes done with the directory permissions for the c:\compaq directory?

3. Has the c:\compaq directory and all sub-directories granted full control to the local administrator?
If not, modify security for the c:\compaq directory and grant full access.

Then restart the HP SIM, HP System Management Homepage, and HP ProLiant Essentials PMP.

Regards,
rmn
