Hello,
I am trying to upgrade the HP System Homepage with the latest version provided by HP.
Proliant DL380 G5
Server Windows Server 2003
HP System Management Homepage 7.2.5.3
After the upgrade the service will never start giving an error:
Event Type: Error Event Source: Application Error Event Category: (100) Event ID: 1000 Date: 8/31/2015 Time: 8:01:53 AMUser: N/AComputer: Server Name Description: Faulting application smhstart.exe, version 7.2.5.3, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 5.2.3790.5583, fault address 0x0004cca2.
What is the root cause of this issue? What could be done to resolve it?
Thanks,
Dom

SolutionHi,
I am not sure of the Root Cause, but you can try the following to fix the issue.
1. Stop the SMH service.
2. Kill SMH app from Task Manager.
3. Uninstall SMH.
4. Remove SMH installation folder.
5. Install SMH.

Re: Upgrade System Management Homepage failing on Windows 2003 Server?
If possible reboot after the uninstall, this tends to cleanup the services registry part.
