Upgrade from SIM 5.1 SP2 to 5.2 problems
I've recently upgraded SIM 5.1 SP2 to 5.2.
The running server is a Windows Server 2003 R2
Standard Ed. completely patched. The DB is SQL
2005 Standard SP2. Either DB and Version
Control Repository Manager is running on the
same machine.
After upgrade, completed without any errors,
I have following 2 problems:
1 - Often System Management Homepage is
unreachable, so other servers cannot
connect to VCRM. After restarting SHM
service, this works just for a few minutes.
SHM was upgraded to 2.1.11 from SIM
upgrade.
2 - I can't delete many events. I mean, I
select events I want to delete and after
clicking the 'delete' button, many of them
are still listed. Even retrying to
delete them more times, same events are
still present. Does exist a way to 'force'
deletion of them?

Re: Upgrade from SIM 5.1 SP2 to 5.2 problems
Similar to when HP released 5.1, we should be seeing an 5.2 sp1 release soon to fix the upgrade issues.. and the reason I always wait. If you can fall back to the prior version (I always break the mirror on these upgrades), that might be a good option.

Re: Upgrade from SIM 5.1 SP2 to 5.2 problems
Thanks for your reply, but I cannot rollback
to 5.1.
I any case, for the first problem described,
I think should regards SMH, not SIM.
I will try to install same SMH version on
another server to verify if I have same
problems on a machine without SIM/VCRM
installed.
