Upgrading HPSIM 6.3 to HPSIM 6.3.1

I have HPSIM 6.3 installed on a Proliant BL460 G6 and I am trying to apply the HP Insight 6.3 incremental update.  However when I run the setup file it responds with a message stating that Insight Software 6.3 is not present on this machine.

Has anyone else come across this problem

When you open your SIM console and do Help>About what build version do you see?

I was having the same issue applying the .1 patch. The way I got it to install was to log onto the server as the local administrator. Even though my network account is an admin and my network account was used for the original installation the patch would not install. I log in as a local machine account administrator works fine first try.

Well, do you have IC installed or just SIM? Even if just installing SIM 6.x on a system you should install it through the Insight Control integrated installer and not by browsing directly to the HPSIM installer ;)

Sim have been installed from scratch using : SIM_6.3_Z7550_00079.exe

I would install through the IC installer.
