Upgrading SIM from 5.2 SP1

Should I just apply SP2 or take the 5.3 plunge?

Take the plunge but make sure you re database is always backup.

It always a wise decision of doing a back up first event if you were upgrading from 5.2 sp2 to 5.3.

I would strongly recommend sticking with a straight SP2 upgrade and wait for better quality to come out of 5.3.

We have had a number of problems with 5.3 in-house, and if you peruse the recent posts here (for the past two weeks or so), you'll see a lot of people in the same boat, anxiously awaiting a patch.

We are currently contemplating scrapping our whole setup (it's a one-way process, unfortunately) to revert back to 5.2 SP2 if the issues aren't resolved soon.
