User Authorizations

I would like to create a user which is able to clear events - but the user should not have full configuration rights on the cms. The best solution would be a user with monitoring toolbox, no configuration rights on the cms, and beeing able to clear events. I can't find a working sulotion yet.

I've not done this but I believe what you'd need to do is go to Options / Security / Users and Authorizations.

Once there Select Toolkits and New.

Create a new toolkit, Select Configuration Tools and then select the Delete Events and put that in the tool box.

You'd need to experiment a bit but that should get you started.

Thanks for your reply - but it still doesn't work. Only full administrating rights on the cms allows to clear events.

May be there is an other solution??

We need a fix for this. The documentation seems to indicate that it is not possible for a user to clear events without having full configuration rights.

The documentation is correct. We have had numerous requests for this and it is planned for a future version of HP SIM.
