VCRM 2.1.5.760: What does this actually do ?

Now, can anyone tell me exactly what this does, means and fixes ? Since I already have the PSPs in the respository I do not see why I would want to download them all over again ?
I assume this is not what the fix will do (since that would also overwrite customization of the PSP from what I understand), so what does it actually mean ?

This is just the latest PSP version of the Version Control Repository Manager. Once installed, it will NOT download what you already have in the repository. I have installed it and the only thing I had to do was import the CIMS certificate.

Yes, I read the revision history too, no need to post all of it... :D
And yes I figured out this is the latest version as well, I just wanted to check whether anyone knew if it actually was worth having for any reason, since I can't see it doing any good, and after upgrading I've gotten several disconnects where SIM looses connection to the SQL server, so I'm thinking downgrading, but wanted to check whether there was anything useful in it.

Probably a coincidence with your SQL disconnects. VCRM integrates with HPSIM but it doesn't do anything with the SQL database. In fact VCRM and VCA will work standalone without HPSIM and the SQL database. So, it is doubtful that upgrading to latest VCRM has anything to do with your SQL problem.

Thanks, although to be on the safe side I did a rollback to the previous version, and the SQL disconnects have now stopped from what it looks like.

IN VCRM Version 2.1.3.740

If auto download feature enabled, VCRM will download the compressed PSP (~100MB/PSP) to repository, Even when non-compressed PSP exists in repository (but doesnâ t overwrite existing files).

IN VCRM Version 2.1.5.760
[Update: Auto download does not download the ProLiant Support Packs that are already available in the repository]
If auto download feature enabled, VCRM will download the compressed PSP/LSP, only when PSP/LSP is not in repository.
