Version Control Agent Not Configured Correctly

Hi,

When I go into the Version Control Agent on my servers to configure security the only login accounts I get is administrator, operator, user and anonymous. When I put in the password to the admin account I get the message "The Version Control Repository Manager at SERVERNAME could not be accessed using the specified account and password"

Could somebody tell me what I'm doing wrong???

Kind regards,

Danielle

Hi Danielle,

Which version of the VCA and SIM are you using?
The newer VCAs use integrated domain authentication..

Re: Version Control Agent Not Configured Correctly

Hi Danielle,

You need to check the HP SIM manual for the changes they made to the VCA client.

Basically you setup a new User Group on your VCRM server (where the VCA will be connecting to), and create a user, say VCAdmin.

Give this user admin rights, and then that is the account for the VCA agent to authenticate correctly.

When you logon locally to the server (SMH), you can either user the local admin account or a domain admin account; in the format
USERNAME: "DOMAIN"\username

Many thanks for getting back to me.

It was the version of the VCA that was the problem
