Version Control Agent credentials
Hello,
I tried adding a service account for VCA communication between the client and the HP-SIM server. I don't seem to be able to use that account for communication. I thought that account only needed to be defined as operator in HP-SIM. Should that account have extra rights in SIM or on the OS level of the SIM server?
Thanks in advance,
Jo

Re: Version Control Agent credentials
Hello,
My practice is to use service account wich is also for HPSIM service.
If you make service account special for communication VCA - HPSIM, then I thik you must also set authorization on systems and CMS with corect rights for that account.
Ivan

Re: Version Control Agent credentials
I am re-installing SIM including VCRM in a new machine. Everything is working except the authentication between VCA and VCRM. I have the same trouble. Where to set or specify the username/pwd specified in VCRM for VCA?
It is not in user category for sure as I tried one of them with full right but didn't work.

Re: Version Control Agent credentials
The account doesn't need to be in HPSIM.
I create a local account on the server hosting the VCRM that has Admin rights.
That account / password is then used for the VCA to VCRM connectivity.
