Version Control Repository Manager not updating

Further to my post last week, I've also now noticed that Version Control Repositroy Manager is not updating.

I get the following errors: -

Error for file: psp-8.70.w2k3.i386.exe
  Error code: 12003
An extended error was returned from the server.550 /pub/softlib2/software1/supportpack-windows/p926003909/v63660/psp-8.70.w2k3.i386.exe: No such file or directory.

Error for file: bp000764.xml
  Error code: 12003

Error for file: bp000895.xml
  Error code: 12003
An extended error was returned from the server.550 /pub/softlib2/software1/supportpack-windows/p926003909/v63660/bp000895.xml: No such file or directory.

I've checked the firewall and can see the traffic leaving successfully.  I've also deleted both files in C:\hp\hpsmh\data\webapp-data\vcrepository but it hasn't made any difference.

When I browse the HP FTP site I get as far as ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib2/software1/supportpack-windows/p926003909 and the subfolders mentioned in the errors don't exist.  I thought by deleting catalog.xml it would download the latest file with the latest file location?

Thanks.

Re: Version Control Repository Manager not updating

Hello James,

When you delete the content in de VCRm directory and restart the VCRM it should start download of the SPPS and PSP.

In my own setup I disabled the automatic download and just download the packages I want unpack then in the VCRM directory an the VCRm get's filled with the packages I want. With this setup you have the control when wich updates are available on your VCRM.

Hope that helps.

Kind regards,

Andrew
