WBEM not working after install of OMW agent and integration tools
We run HP SIM v5.2 on a Windows 2003 server, monitoring various servers including HP Proliant and old Dells.
We recently began implementing HP Operations Manager (OMW) v8.10, installing the OMW agent onto the SIM server and attempted to configure the SIM integration - without success.
After the installation of the OMW agent a reboot was performed. Upon start up the WBEM stopped working on the SIM server - trying to look at server properties shows the "Cannot connect to target system using WBEM" error message.
Investigation showed that the Pegasus WMI mapper was no longer working due to a port clash. This was resolved by using a different port. The Pegasus WMI mapper works but the server properties page on the SIM still continues to show the WBEM error.
As an additional note, the OMW/SIM integration tools deploy ok and all the commangs seem to work but no alerts are forwarded to the OMW console.

Re: WBEM not working after install of OMW agent and integration tools
try deleting your WMI Mapper proxy and re-adding it.
