Web-Based Management Password Reset v5.2

I have a number of HP/Compaq servers of which I don’t know the administrator password for the web-based management agent. Is there any way of resetting the password? I’m currently working on a server with version 5.2 of the Compaq management agents and haven’t been able to figure out how to reset the administrator account.

Hi, if you manage this system by SIM and you have already configured the ssh protocol, you can try to execute the right command over the managed system from SIM (Tools-->New command line tools-->new command line tool).

First try the old default password "administrator". If that does not work do the following.

- Take PSP 5.2 and run setup.exe
- preconfigure the Web-Agent with the password you want and check the option that you want to override existing security.
- This passwords will be stored in the Web-Agent Install file CPxxxxxx.exe
- Run this CPxxxxxx.exe on one of your servers and force the installation of the some version.
- From this server take the cpqhmmd.acl file from c:\compaq\wbem and copy it to the some location of the other servers and restart Agents there

That should fix your Problem
