Re: Why isn't it working?
Actually, this is running on a Windows 2003 server, so I don't have access to tcpdump.
I'm sure everything is setup right, and I just re-verified we arent filtering anything internally - so I guess the next thing to do is ethereal on a laptop hooked to the switch to see if we can tell what's going on
****** BEGIN QUOTE *****
Do you see the snmp data arriving at the SIM server using tcpdump, eg:
tcpdump | grep MANAGED_AGENT_IP
Also, are you sure SNMP on the managed agent server is using the correct conf file?
***** END QUOTE ******

Re: Why isn't it working?
Ok, Ethereal shows that the HP SIM server is receiving SNMP traps. So we know it's getting to it - in fact I see traps occuring right now. I'm going to set it up to capture UDP port 162 over the weekend and see if I can't find any anomaly.
If any one has any further suggestions, I'd appreciate it.
