Why no storage / disc firmware updates in SIM?

I may be missing something, but I wonder why I can't pull storage / disc drive firmware updates from my SIM? I've found that I've got to download the firmward CD in order to update my drives.

SCSI disc firmware / microcode updates can't be done online, so HP SIM can't really assist here.
