Why would this happen all of a sudden? How to fix it?

See attachment.
Was working. Installed updates it found.

Only one that seeme to have an issue was newer remote client which said aborted.

Also, does not and has never shown up in SIM under options.

What's the actual file to run to resintall without using the main SIM setup?

I had the same issue. I had to remove isee and reinstall the remote support software manager which also meant that I had to redo isee setting. Go to Add/Remove programs and remove ISEE_CMS_SWMAGENT. I rebooted the server. re-run setup, choose Custom setup and reinstalled the Remote Support Software Manager. Re-run the setup for Software Manager. The Remote Support Client will still not install but this will repair the issue your are having with the Software Manager. My local HP rep has opened a ticket with support. I will share the fix once I get it myself. Hope this helps....

That worked
