Windows 2003 Enterprise Server 64 bit R2 -> SIM False Alerts
Have a pair of Proliant DL580 G3's. Running Windows 2003 Enterprise 64 bit R2. Servers are clustered (Microsoft). 1 node is active the other passive. I have 3 clusters like this (6 servers). Additionally, I have 16 other DL580 G3 Servers setup in clusters (Microsoft Windows 2003 Enterprise 32 bit). The 32 bit clustered servers are not reporting any false alerts and are reporting fine.
Setup SIM traps on all servers to report to SIM server --> all OK there.
Problem is this ...... each time SIM polls the servers, they report(the 64 bit), or SIM reports, that there have been POST errors. Indicating that the servers rebooted, when in fact they have not. Are there any special settings for the servers (64 bit) or any special settings for the SIM server to prevent these false alerts ? Is there a differant version of the Insight Manager agents needed for the 64 bit version of Windows ?
Environment is up and running fine. The false alerts are the only problem ....
Any ideas or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Tim Crawford

This a known issue, not related apparantly to x64. Search for an exiting thread:
