We have HP SIM 5.3 server on a windows box.
We have an rp7420 already discovered and monitored.
We are trying to add another rp7420 to HP SIM server for monitoring. Manual addition.
Once discovered, SIM adds the IP and hostname of the first rp7420 already in.
DNS resolves properly for both servers.
Thank you in advance.

Solutionhad the same problem with some windows systems in the past wich had the same UUIDs.
Have a look at all serial numbers in BIOS, OS and the SNMP-Response where SIM ask the OS for its IDs.
Don´t know wich OS you are running but this might be the right way to search for the reason.
Cheers
Marc
