auto event - system is unreachable

Hi all:

HPSIM C.05.00 on HPUX 11.11.

I am trying to configure an Automatic Event Handling task in which I select the event "System is unreachable" and continue with selecting the system, which is another HPUX 11.11 system.

I then halt the selected system.

I get no alarms or notification from HPSIM.

What happened? What did I miss?

Hardware status polling task should be run with the halted system as target (there is a default H/W status polling task that runs on all servers every 5 minutes). Only then you'll get that event.

In addition to the hardware polling, make sure that the system is included in the list from the scheduled task.

My problem really was that a specific system was not in the list of servers to be polled. I could manually poll the system and get the event notification, but it was not automatic.
