automatic event handling tasks don't run

We use the latest SIM version (4.2). I configured hardware status polling tasks. 'events' are being generated normally. Events are also being generated when I send a Test SNMP trap. However, I defined an automatic event handling task to send an email whenever a critical, major and minor event occurs. The task simply does not run, although major and critical events occurred (Last Run : Never).

Please let me know, where is the problem or mistake.

SAME PROBLEM, however only on a handful of my servers... most when sending an SNMP Trap and when SIM turn into event, the handling is fine. but on this handfull if the event is from them no handling takes place.

I have a similar issue. SNMP traps worked but the automatic event handling tasks did not work via email for normal, minor, major and critical severity event.

I think I figured mine out. I checked the servers in question, and in System Properties, specifically Enabled/Resumed monitoring. Generic Traps and Disk Threshold Traps now become events and get handled.
