change SNMP port on PSP 7.4
Hello,
Is it possible to configure the port on which the various HP agents send SNMP alarms on, The default port is 162, can it be changed ? If yes can you send me the instructions?
The platform we use is RedHat Linux 3.0
The PSP versions use is 7.4
I tried to change the port number on the /etc/snmp/snmpd.conf (trapsink ) but the HP agents doesn't care for this change, although other traps sent on top of the SNMP daemon are sent on this new port
Thanks,
Tal.

Re: change SNMP port on PSP 7.4
Based on the SNMP implementation in Agents, the SNMP TRAP PORT is hard coded to 162 which is
not configurable by the user.
Even the iLO/RILOE-II SNMP implementation has SNMP TRAP PORT value of 162 which is
not configurable
