downgrade hpsim 6.0 to 5.3
Hi,
Does anyone know a way of downgrading hpsim 6.0 to version 5.3? hp sim 6.0 is full of bugs.
Our systems get discovered properly, after a few hours random information like system name, management processor, ... just disappears.
HPSIM 5.3 didn't had this issues, so I would like to downgrade to version 5.3 again. Is this possible?
Thanks.

Re: downgrade hpsim 6.0 to 5.3
you can not downgrade straight away. there are lot of changes happened in between 5.3 to 6.0.
db changes as wel as other changes i dont think it easy to track even if you back up ur data and restore in 6.0.

Re: downgrade hpsim 6.0 to 5.3
What I did:
1. uninstall hpsim 6.0, this keeps the database intact, since it's on a sql cluster.
2. install hpsim 5.3, this will create a new empty db on the sql cluster
3. link the old db to hpsim via the database.props file
4. delete the newly created empty db
now we're back on version 5.3 and running without problems.

Re: downgrade hpsim 6.0 to 5.3
